Joe Kenney Joins CSB as Executive Vice President – Chief Lending Officer to Lead Lending Initiatives as Jim Lynch Transitions to an Advisory Role

Claremont Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Joe Kenney has joined as Executive Vice President – Chief Lending Officer and will be a key member of CSB’s Executive Management Team.

Joe brings more than three decades of progressive experience in commercial banking, lending, and strategic leadership and a strong record of providing thoughtful, creative financial solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. His career has been rooted in supporting local enterprises and building long-term relationships—values that align closely with who we are as a mutual community bank.

“Throughout his career, Joe has earned a reputation for his collaborative approach, steady leadership, and deep commitment to the businesses and people he serves,” stated David Finnerty, President & CEO at Claremont Savings Bank. “Joe’s leadership experience directing large commercial lending teams, mentoring lending professionals, and fostering cultures centered on accountability, collaboration, and high performance will help shape Claremont Savings Bank’s future. What drew him to Claremont Savings Bank—and what makes this such a wonderful fit—is his genuine belief in mutuality and the impact community banks can have when they put customers and community first.”

Most recently, Joe served as Chief Lending Officer and Executive Vice President at BankProv, where he led lending strategy and support of business growth across New Hampshire and New England by identifying new market opportunities and leveraging innovative lending strategies. Prior to that, he held a series of senior roles including Senior Vice President and Director of Commercial Lending. He has extensive experience establishing department-wide strategic goals and integrating data-driven decision-making to strengthen portfolio performance and manage risk.

“I am truly honored and excited to be joining Claremont Savings Bank and such a talented and dedicated team,” stated Joe Kenney. “From the moment I began speaking with Dave and others at CSB, it was clear that this is a special place with a strong culture, a deep commitment to its customers, and a true passion for community banking.”

In addition to his professional achievements, Joe has been actively engaged in community leadership, including service on the boards of the Granite YMCA, the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, and the Granite State District Export Council.

We are excited to welcome Joe to the team as Jim Lynch, Executive Vice President, transitions into an advisory role as he begins his plan towards retirement. Jim will remain active at Claremont Savings Bank and with our business clients, while providing guidance and ensuring customers banking needs are continuously met.
